Andrea's Call to Brazil!

Things are quite exciting around here.  Andrea received her mission call last Thursday (7th).  She is being called to the Port Alegre North Mission in Brazil!!!  That is in Brazil's Southern most state - same latitude in the southern hemisphere as we will be!  Aaron is soooo excited!  He told her all his letters to her will be in Portuguese and all her letters to him better be in Portuguese and when she returns home he will never speak to her in English again! Ha ha!  Yes, after 5 years of German, Andrea will learn Portuguese!! She leaves exactly one month after us (July 10th).  Tom & Shar will be her mommy & daddy to see her off for us.

In preparation for our mission, in stake conference today, Chris was released from the Stake Presidency.  Bishop Weller of Chimacum Ward will be the new councilor. After conference, Allison Woodhouse, a kindergartner from Port Angeles, came up and gave Chris a picture she had drawn.  I had to post it here because it is an African giraffe with lots of missionary name tags on it!

 
On the other side of the paper she also drew a cute zebra and lion, each with a missionary name tag!  So adorable!  We will remember to send her a post card from Africa.

 Chris gave a magnificent talk yesterday in the adult session.  Naturally, the topic was missionary work.  He told of the Lords hand in getting us to this point, which is a couple years ahead of when we thought we would go on a mission.

This Thursday, Andrea should receive her mission call.  Aaaaaaaa!!!!!  Butterflies all over again!  I pray daily that she'll be blessed and have joy in her calling.
